Team Announcements
NEW ASSISTANT COACH
Breanna Folk has joined the team as our new assistant coach. She is currently a Junior at The University of Tennessee studying Therapeutic Recreation. Coach Breanna has had two years of experience as a summer league swim team assistant coach in Knoxville. She has given many private lessons and has been swimming since she was 10 years old. She began year around club swimming when she was 12 which led her to swim in the 2008 Olympic Trials. She is currently a Lady Vol Swimmer. She is from the small town of Mohrsville, Pennsylvania. Her future plans are to graduate with a Therapuetic Recreation Certification along with a Child Life Specialist Certification in order to become a Child Life Specialist for a hospital. She enjoys and has a passion for coaching and teaching younger generations how to swim.
2011-2012 Practice Schedule
The bubble is up at the LC Pool, however wiring/electrical issues must be resolved before we can begin practice. We plan to begin our practice schedule on Monday October 3. There will be a parents meeting after the first practice at 5:30pm. Practices will be Monday-Thursday 4:00-5:30pm. Swimmers should arrive at the pool after school and dress for practice to be ready at 4:00pm to utilize all available pool time.

North Middle School Bus Update
With the help of Mike Sims at Lenoir City Schools as well as the North Panthers football team head coach, Chris Wampler, there is a better alternative to get our NMS swimmers to the pool in time for practice.

We previously had secured a bus service at $40 per day. At four practices a week for 15 weeks, that is a cost of $2400.00 While it is important to get these few NMS swimmers to the pool, the team does not have the funds to finance this.

Here's the new plan: our swimmers will still board a bus at the rear of NMS (there will be 4 buses back there- they board the last one in line- bus #A-10 with the North Panthers team. Our swimmers need to sit in the seats right behind the driver. This bus arrives at LCMS by 3:15.

The North Panthers season ends Oct. 21, so our swimmers will only have this bus available the week of Oct. 3-7 and the week following Fall Break Oct. 17-21. After this we need to find some NMS parents who are already driving to the pool and are willing to carpool. There are only a few bus riders and we need to get them to practice after the bus service ends.
